Bale Stacking: Quick Results

Blog_DaSilva_Solisterra_Nov2012This was a heck of a trip. Very few people came, I already knew the people and the location, and I knew I’d enjoy it more because less people were there! I have to say though that my favourite part of it all was the wall building/bale stacking. It would seem like such a boring job, stacking bale after bale on top of each other, however, it actually turned out to be great. With a great group of students, we did our jobs quickly but very effectively! I was beyond surprised to see that by the end of Friday, we had walls up and ready for its finish. However, it goes without mentioning that cutting down the big tree in front of Rosa was amazing. The method was beyond effective, which I found quite peculiar since all it took was a chainsaw and some ropes! Overall, I had a great time, and I’m sure everyone else did too. –Matheus Da Silva ’15
